When anyone first starts looking at diffusers the search results can be overwhelming. Then to top it off, they all kind of look the same.
Don’t let long lists of similar features lead you to think that ever diffuser is made equal though! Choosing the right diffuser for your space isn’t as difficult as it might seem.
Determine first if you’re looking for something for a small bedroom, home office, or larger living space. Then decide what sort of features are a top priority for you!
We’re taking an in-depth look at the Young Living Home Diffuser, to fully understand its functionality and not just its features list!
This device is more than your standard diffuser. It works like a humidifier, atomizer, air purifier, and diffuser for essential oils.
That combination is a lot more than what you get with the standard aromatherapy diffuser right out of the gate. It also has the benefit of being an ultrasonic diffuser rather than using heat.
What this means, is that you’re essential oils aren’t being affected negatively by the heat. Instead, they make it into the air untouched and deliver their best work!
There are a few different preferential things to address. First, it has a light control and which is really nice and can give the room a great feel to it.
But, it also has different options for how it runs. It can set to alternate for thirty seconds at a time which preserves water and oils or, it can run in a continuous stream.
- A little over a foot tall, and a little over a foot wide.
- Easy to fill
- Designed to be visually appealing
- Can easily maintain a living-room sized space, although ideal for bedrooms and office spaces.
- Its shape makes it look like a piece of decor
- The lighting and color option tops make it visually nice also.
- The essential oils work well in the device
- Humidifies the room as well as spreading essential oils.
- Holds 125 ml of water
- If you’re just looking for a diffuser, this is a bit large.
- Definitely not meant for tap water use
- Large rooms you can tell it doesn’t work as well.
We mentioned in the cons that this is not meant for tap water use. Although that is usually an option for diffusers, it isn’t here.
Why? Because it acts as a humidifier and air purifier also. This means that if you were to use tap water you’d have a lot of builds up and quickly!
One of our favorite key features is the size of the tank. The 125ml tank makes it so even when you use the continuous stream function it can work for about five hours.
This is a great option if you’re looking for all three primary functions. If you need a device that humidifies, purifies, and diffuses this one meets the mark across the board.
It also depends on the room size. This diffuser is great for open offices, and smaller kitchens or living rooms. It is great for a standard bedroom size.
Overall, it’s an easy to use and the clean device that performs well. The number of options for the top’s color and stream options is great too!
The mixed feedback we could find from other’s who tried it said the device works best in its first 300 hours of use. Or, they received their diffusers it didn’t work at all.
However, there are a number of very happy users also who haven’t had issues with it even after long-term, continuous use. We say if the diffuser doesn’t work when you receive it, contact the site you purchased it from.
Some Helpful Tips and Tricks!
Cleaning is quick and easy with the white vinegar method. Fill the water reservoir about halfway and add ten or so drops of white vinegar.
Allow it to run continuously for a few minutes with the vinegar water and empty it. Afterwards, you empty it and wipe it down!
The other tip we can suggest here is to add ten to thirteen drops of your favorite essential oil. This may be more than you’re used to adding, but keep in mind this has a very large water tank!
Our Final Say
The Young Living Home Diffuser is a valuable addition to most rooms. It’s visually nice to look at so it’s welcome in a lobby or office.
But, it also humidifiers and purifies. A great addition in terms of function if you’re looking at buying a diffuser but know these two options would be beneficial to you also.
