Essential oil diffusers have been around for a while now and have made their way into many homes. But still, questions linger.
How do I know which diffuser is right for me? Hopefully, this PureSpa Essential Oil Diffuser review will help you make that choice.
Maybe you can learn what aspects you would probably like or dislike and order away after!
This is a pretty dandy little diffuser if I say so myself. It’s small and compact but works for about seven hours.
So if you’re trying to get a good night’s rest, some lavender exposure for seven hours couldn’t hurt, am I right? Most diffusers work for about three to five hours and some can operate at a really high heat so they burn through the water even faster.
A Little More about the PureSpa Diffuser
The key features of this small but mighty diffuser speak volumes on their own! See for yourself:
- Covers about a 250 square foot room. For most people that is up to about 15’ by 15’, or a large bedroom/small living room.
- Provides aromatherapy for about 7 hours
- Barely audible.
- Color changing, always a cool feature that helps it match any room it’s in.
- One button that does everything (turns on the diffuser, turns on and changes light, turns off diffuser).
- Auto-off function.
- Doesn’t operate on heat, uses negative ions instead!
The Good, and The Bad
There were a few functions that ended up being more of a pain than a pleasure. So we’ll start with the bad:
- The auto-off feature doesn’t chime or alert you when it powers down.
- The one-button that does everything, means cycling through colors. Except it doesn’t “cycle” based on the button it does it on its own!
I probably spent a good ten or twenty minutes just going through the button options and not realizing that it wouldn’t let me stop on a single color. In the end, I just let it glow its neutral off-white color and it still looks great.
- Not operating on heat left me wondering if it was working for the first twenty minutes. Then I started to smell the essential oils and my mind was put to rest.
So what was so great about it? Everything else!
This little diffuser filled my office with a great peppermint scent (my working essential oil of choice as it keeps me awake) in a little under thirty-five minutes. It took some time to get started but when it got going there was no reckoning with it!
Another much-loved feature was how quiet it was. An old diffuser I had sounded about as loud as a full-sized humidifier.
Every time my old one would turn on it had a loud hissing sound and would sputter whenever the water got low. This little guy is just a quiet friend hanging out in the corner.
It’s worth it! The features that I don’t like are more of an inconvenience that honestly, probably is a part of most diffusers.
I’m sure regardless of the product I would have found something inconvenient or that I didn’t like but overall the good greatly outweighs the bad.
This diffuser packs a punch and fills a room, which was the biggest concern.
But Who Uses It?
While I use it in my office which is the size of a pretty small bedroom, sans closet, I think it could work great in a slightly larger space.
I would definitely recommend this to someone who was looking for a diffuser to put in a nursery, playroom or small children’s room. Why?
Well, thank you for asking! The non-heating appeal seems to just naturally place it in a nursery. Of course, you don’t want a small child playing with a humidifier anyway. The light also seems to be the perfect amount of soft lightness for a night light.
What Everyone Else Thought
I did some digging around before I purchased it and was overwhelmed with the positive review it had.
The few bad reviews I could find were usually when people had just downgraded. If you go from a fancy diffuser that you spent way too much on, you’ll probably be looking for something to be disappointed in.
The most common complaint I found was that the top part doesn’t actually screw in to fit snugly. Which is true, it kind of just sits on top. I thought this was a benefit because I’m not fighting with it every time I refill it!
The other complaint I saw was that it immediately didn’t work.
It’s worth it. The PureSpa essential oil diffuser holds about 100 ml of water which is pretty standard but long outlasts many other diffusers of its size.
It doesn’t work on heat, and it shuts off when it’s done. I couldn’t think of anything more than I could really ask for without shelling out a ton of cash on an oil diffuser for a small room.
I hope this PureSpa essential oil diffuser review was helpful and can help you find a diffuser that works great for you!
