Happy Monday friends!
My in-laws were in town from Chicago to catch the last of my boys basketball games. While they were here, we took them to see our future home! After spending many a weekend in our cramped rental, they joined us in awe of this fresh, bright open layout. I can't wait to have them back after move in to get dirty in the landscape! It's a blank canvas right now, and they have the most beautiful gardens back home to help guide me come springtime.
But when we turned to leave, I found the perfect starter project after move in. The plain jane white front door! We will be moving in towards the beginning of May, so a pretty front door would be a great place to start! I can never have enough natural light, so I am really happy with the window, but it's pretty "builder" grade boring. I think a small spalsh of color here and a great window treatment would make for a wonderful grand entrance!

Here are some front door colors that I love, but none of them really match the exterior color scheme of the home:
I really like the coral-y color, but right now with so little color outside {read: no green trees or grass}, and so much white surrounding the house, it's hard to picture. Any ideas from you guys?

How exciting! I've been watching your beautiful pins pop up for your color inspiration. I can't wait to see what you decide to do!
ReplyDeleteI would pick the purply color. Matter in fact when I saw your post, before I read it, that was the color I would suggest. It looks nice with the grey color, plus the shingles.
ReplyDeleteI love the purple choices. This is going to be harder than I thought ;)
DeleteHellow from a new follower!
ReplyDeleteI think a yellow or a purple would be bautiful!!
So excited for you Sarah!!! I am really liking yellow/gray combos lately :) Congratulations again!!! Hope I get up there to see it one day!
ReplyDeleteI would LOVE to have and see you here my friend!!!
DeleteHow exciting to have a move coming up! I always love deep red front doors-- our neighborhood doesn't let us change the colors of our doors but I'd love to!
ReplyDeleteThanks Holly! It's so drab outside here right now, I think I'll have to wait to see what we landscape and what will go with it all! I also love deep red doors - a good suggestion!!!
