Vacationing Tag-Along

Hey all!
There have been so many new visitors to Dwell on Joy this week that the weekly "attendance" here has nearly doubled!!! I appreciate you taking time to stop by, share with me, and feast your eyes on the bits & pieces of my pride and joy. I really love writing and especially LOVE that you are here visiting today!

This week I am off to the west coast in pursuit of cable cars & fresh seafood; for beautiful sights to see, live, and photograph, as well as some rest and relaxation.

I am happy to be able to finally say that I am blessed with a traveling husband {did I just admit that out loud?!?}and and in-laws who are excited to spend a few solo days with my kids while I recharge my batteries.  I will be a vacationing tag-along with my husband for a few days at his work conference. He will be doing all the working and conferencing, and I'll be doing most of the vacationing! At night, we will meet up to explore, walk, and eat at restaurants I'm sure I will dream about for the next year.

Now, it is with great genuineness that I say that I love and will miss my boys. But...I will be flying A-LONE. Which means I finally get to read a book. Uninterrupted. Eat, uninterrupted. Drink coffee...while it's hot. Have a cocktail at a street side bistro at 12:00 noon if I want to. Sleep in, even though I won't. {Because I can sleep when I'm dead, right! There's living to do!} I will have my own agenda and move at my own pace. For four. entire. days.

And this past weekend after arriving in Chicago, I got to spend a little time shopping with my sister and mother in law. I picked up this gorgeous bag that will be perfect for carrying on the plane and will hold all of my traveling necessities! I'll be reading up on my destination and starting a new book.
Have you read this series yet?

It's even big enough to comfortably hold my camera and it's bag!
Maybe I'm being a little optimistic, but I'm hoping I get to see and photograph all of this while I'm in town:

And even though I've got a full two week's worth of posts ready to share with you, I've decided to hold off on posting them. After all, a vacation isn't really a vacation if you are "working" right? I'm leaving the laptop back at home to enjoy dating my husband, playing in the pool with the boys, and catching up with my extended family.

So have yourself a super week, and enjoy a SHORT break from little old me. But please come back, because we're friends, right? And without a doubt, I'll have so much San Francisco this and San Francisco that to share with you!
And don't forget!!!
This is the last week to enter my Brynnley's Boutique giveaway!

It's great to really just enjoy your break and know that loyal readers won't be going anywhere if you take a week to recharge!!

I had to enable word verification due to the increased SPAM coming through comments. I apologize and hope you will still leave a comment! I love to read them!
